Scoring
The 10-Point Must System
The same system used by professional judges worldwide.
How does the 10-point must system work?
The winner of each round receives 10 points. The loser receives 9 or fewer. A standard competitive round is scored 10-9. Here's a guide:
10-9 — close round, one fighter edges it
10-8 — dominant round, knockdown or heavy damage
10-7 — extremely rare, multiple knockdowns or total domination
10-10 — even round (very rare)
How do knockdowns affect the score?
Each knockdown costs the floored fighter one point. So a round with one knockdown is typically scored 10-8. Two knockdowns in the same round is usually 10-7. The knockdown itself doesn't automatically determine the score — if the fighter who was knocked down dominated the rest of the round, the judge can still score it 10-8 rather than 10-7.
In RoundCard, tap the − button on a fighter's score if they were knocked down to reflect the point deduction.
What are point deductions?
A referee can deduct a point from a fighter for deliberate fouls — low blows, headbutts, hitting on the break, biting or repeated holding. A deduction costs that fighter one point from their round score, separate from knockdowns.
For example, if Fighter A wins the round 10-9 but receives a deduction, it becomes 9-9. Use the − button in RoundCard to apply a deduction to the correct fighter's score.
Can you give me a scoring example?
Here's how a 12-round fight might be scored:
Rounds 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 11, 12 — Fighter A edges it. Score: 10-9 Rounds 2, 5, 7, 10 — Fighter B edges it. Score: 9-10 Round 9 — Fighter A knocks down Fighter B. Score: 10-8
Professional judges score based on four criteria in order of importance:
Clean punching — hard, clean shots that land with force
Effective aggression — moving forward with purpose, not just wading in
Ring generalship — controlling the pace, distance and position
Defence — avoiding shots, making the opponent miss
Can I change my score after locking a round?
No — once a round is locked, the score is final. This keeps things authentic and mirrors what real judges do. You can withdraw your entire scorecard from the Cards tab if you want to start again.
Scoring
Community Consensus
See how thousands of judges are scoring the same fight.
What is the community consensus?
After locking each round, RoundCard shows you how the rest of the community scored that same round — what percentage had Fighter A winning, Fighter B winning, or scored it even. It's a snapshot of real-time collective scoring.
When does the community consensus appear?
The consensus popup appears automatically after you lock each round. You can also tap the gold button at any time to bring it back up for any previously locked round.
What does the live scoring feed show on the Fights screen?
For live fights, the Fights screen shows a real-time feed of how judges are scoring each round, the running community average score and a split bar showing who the community has winning overall.
Your Profile
Accuracy & Rating
Track how your judging compares to the official result.
How is accuracy calculated?
Accuracy measures how often your scorecard correctly predicted the winner of a fight that went to the judges' scorecards. If you had Fighter A winning and Fighter A won by decision, that counts as correct. Fights that end by KO, TKO or stoppage do not count towards accuracy.
Why isn't my accuracy showing yet?
Accuracy only updates when an official result is entered for a fight you scored that went to a decision. If you've only scored fights that ended early or whose results haven't been entered yet, your accuracy will show as — until then.
What is Average Rating?
Other judges can rate your scorecard after you submit it. Your average rating is the mean score across all ratings you've received, shown out of 5. A high rating means the community respects your judging.
